I had an amazing time talking to members of Alianza Latina, Boston University’s Latino student association. As part of their Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, Alianza Latina invited me to speak about my journey as a Latina journalist in the U.S. They are a lively, engaging, and smart group of young Latin@s. What they probably don’t realize is that the experience of chatting with them enriches and inspires me as much as (if not more) I - allegedly - motivated them.
